Live Sketching at the Official Bridgerton Season 4 Premiere in Fairmont Royal York Toronto
/Dearest Reader, the rumors are true: the social season has arrived in Toronto, and it was more enchanting than a dance with a Duke.
I am still pinching myself, but I recently had the distinct honour of being one of the live sketch artists for the official Bridgerton Season 4 (Part One) premiere event hosted by Netflix. Held at the legendary Fairmont Royal York, the evening was a masterclass in Regency elegance, produced by the incomparable Kate Mazzuca and her LA-based team at Bespoke Boheme.
A Theme Fit for a Bridgerton
Tehreem and Telisa as the Official Live Sketch Artists
With Season 4 centering on Benedict Bridgerton, it was only fitting that art took center stage. As fans know, Benedict is the artist of the family, making live sketching the most authentic way to bring the show’s spirit to life.
I had the pleasure of sketching alongside fellow local Toronto talent Tehremy Art. Together, we captured the likenesses of the exclusive guests, all dressed in their finest Regency-core attire. From corsets to cravats, the fashion was nothing short of spectacular.
Speed Meets Sophistication
While the event hosted 300 elite guests, the pace at the sketching station was exhilarating. We successfully sketched approximately 100 guests within a 4-hour window. This high-speed, high-fidelity artistry allowed a third of the attendees to walk away with a completely custom, hand-drawn souvenir of their evening. It was a whirlwind of paint brushes and creativity that mirrored the fast-paced social whirl of the Ton itself!
A Surprise from the Cast
Yerin Ha (as Sophie Baek) and Luke Thompson (As Benedict Bridgerton)
The highlight of the night? A surprise appearance by the stars themselves! Luke Thompson (Benedict Bridgerton) and Yerin Ha (Sophie Baek) graced the event, sending a wave of excitement through the ballroom. Seeing the "main characters" in the room while we sketched added an electric energy that I’ll never forget.
A Dream Come True
As a massive fan of the series, this wasn't just another gig—it was a career milestone. Being part of the Bridgerton universe, even for one night, meant the world to me. Seeing the joy on guests' faces as they received their sketches is why I do what I do.
